The Mostra d’Oltremare, a remarkable example of rationalist architecture located in the Fuorigrotta district of Naples, is easily accessible from all parts of the city and well connected to the airport, the railway and bus station.
The Palacongressi occupies a surface of about 6000 sq m, surrounded by 5000 sq m of open space. It’s located alongside the majestic Esedra Fountain, an impressive fountain immersed in greenery, that with its 12 cascade waterfall pools and 24 scenic fountains offers guests a unique and suggestive view.
How to get there
When arriving at Napoli leave the motorway (A1 or A3 or A16) and take the Tangenziale di Napoli (ring road) as far as exit 11 for Fuorigrotta and follow the signs for the Mostra d’Oltremare
Naples Central Station is connected to all major Italian cities by Frecciarossa (High Speed) and Eurostar trains. When in the Central station take Metro Line 2 to Campi Flegrei station. The railway Campi Flegrei station is directly reachable by Intercity and regional trains from Rome and Sicily.
Capodichino airport is connected to all major Italian and European cities. From the airport by taxi (15 minutes, depending on traffic) or by bus (no. 151 and R7, direction Piazza Municipio and direction Fuorigrotta or direction Stazione Centrale and then Metro, Line 2 Campi Flegrei stop).
From the airport you can also reach Piazza Garibaldi (main railway station) on the Alibus shuttle which runs every 30 minutes from 6.30 to 23.30. From Piazza Garibaldi it is an easy underground (Metropolitana) journey on Linea 2 to Piazzale Tecchio (the stop is Campi Flegrei) which is just a short walk from the Viale Kennedy entrance to the Mostra d’Oltremare.
A few minutes’ walk from the three lines of the Naples Metro:
- Line 2: Campi Flegrei
- Line 6: Station Show (“stazione Mostra”)
Cumana line: Station Show (“stazione Mostra”, Piazzale Tecchio) or Edenlandia station (via Kennedy)
Lines 151, 180, 181, 615, C1, C2, C6 (the latter two replaced by the 502 on Saturday and Sunday), C7, C8 and R6 (on Sunday or holidays also 580) get to Piazzale Tecchio, a few minutes’ walk from Mostra d’Oltremare.
A tram will take you from the port (Molo Beverello/Piazza Municipio) to Piazza Vittoria where you can continue your journey by bus to Piazzale Tecchio, which is just a short walk from the Viale Kennedy entrance to the Mostra d’Oltremare.
